Stayed in one of their three bedroom villas (which we were kindly upgraded to from a two bedroom upon arrival). Absolutely beautiful property with four different seating areas and spectacular views. My husband and I came here for a short 4 day break to escape the cold British weather, neither of us are golfers but we appreciated the beautiful greens and manicured grass, and wonderful surroundings. Yes there was some building work going on at the far side of the site constructing their luxury villas, but we hardly noticed it and it certainly didn’t impact on our stay once. We ate in each of the three onsite restaurants over the three nights and our favourite was actually the Tagara at the top of the hill. Food was exquisite and service impeccable. Breakfasts were also lovely and the staff always smiley and nice, although avoid 10-11 am as chaotic with families and kids and a longer wait for breakfast, drinks machines running out of water and milk and staff running around like headless chickens. 8.30am -9.30 was much more civilised. All pools were also lovely and clean, and all the staff super helpful. We loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

Friendly, helpful reception, apartment was ready when we arrived early. Got upgraded to a two bed very near reception which was a bonus. The Abama estate including the Ritz Carlton hotel is huge, with possibly hundreds of properties and more under construction. Although there are courtesy shuttles available, there’s nowhere really to walk so in our opinion, a car is a must. The nearest village with any shops or facilities was about 10 minutes by car. Golf course was very busy, slow and pricey even at residents discounted rates. One of the most difficult courses we’ve played anywhere. Breakfast buffet was OK, and dinner in the evenings in the two restaurants attached to the apartments was fine with good, helpful service. Three swimming pools and an underground car park were most welcome. Room cleaning was available if you asked for it, not a daily automatic service. Nice big bed, and good shower. Overall an OK experience.

Dreamlike location. Surrounded by the golf course, you have an unobstructed view of the sea, and there are no other hotels nearby on either side. The suite offered plenty of space. Unlike what is often typical, the children had their own room with their own bathroom. We felt right at home (except for the beds). Great service, very friendly staff, a good breakfast at a reasonable price (children pay only half), free shuttle to the beach and other Abama hotels, beautiful pools, and above all, truly quiet.

Beautiful complex on a golf course with views across to La Gomera. Quiet and peaceful away from the crowds. Our one bed apartment was very spacious and just a short walk away from a heated infinity pool. The apartment was fully serviced every day so we had the advantages of hotel level service but had the added freedom self catering can offer. The site is large so the free shuttle service was useful. Breakfast was served in the golf club restaurant and was excellent. Staff polite and helpful.

The lifeguards at the pool were really friendly, came to ask the kids if they wanted drawings to colour during their relaxing time. The staff making the drinks were friendly but close to the end of the day, you noticed that they were a little less quick to respond. Breakfast is very nice and has a big selection of whatever you can think off. Big apartment! Nice rooms, kitchen very handy and useful. The cleaning staff even loaded and emptied the dishwasher!
